permaculture school board meeting.

Permaculture School Board Meeting:

Permaculture is a regenerative process that regenerates the land and builds better landscapes. In permaculture we are building a garden to produce local food for the cafeteria. we use kaizen (改善) to continually improve it. kaizen is japanese for continuous improvement. We are also growing fruits and vegetables, like tomatoes, that get put in the salad bar for lunch. The garden is also a good place to relax and observe nature. It has ? number of plants in it. People have lots of mental models like the one that a dandelion is a weed. The definition of a weed is that they are unwanted so they are sometimes a weed and sometimes the are not. Dandelions should be called nitrogen fixers or soil fixers because that is what they do. The give nitrogen to the soil to fix and regenerate it.
